Mary Wilma Plumlee

Wilma Plumlee, 78, of Franklin, died Saturday, at White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born March 23, 1935 in Franklin to Clarence J. and Telitha Ella Hall Plumlee. She was a school teacher in the Pocahontas, Williford, and Oxford areas. She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church where she worked as a church clerk and librarian for many years. She was a member of DKG, EH Club, and the Master Gardener Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her brother, Ray Plumlee and sister, Loma Plumlee, both of Franklin; nieces, Anna Plumlee, Sarah Lesley, and Katie Tate.
Visitation will be Monday 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Barker Funeral Home in Horseshoe Bend. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 pm at the Franklin Baptist Church in Franklin with Robert Norton and Doyne Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Violet Hill Cemetery at Violet Hill. Arrangements, Visitation, and Funeral Services are under the direction of Cox-Fears Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Pallbearers will be Tom Bailey, Don Selph, Tom Stiefel, Nick Lesley, Chris Tate, and Bryan Phillips. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Yancey and Bill Brackett.
