Ada Ellen Benson, 87, of Tuckerman, died March 25th at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born December 16, 1926 in Trumann to Lee Roy and Maggie E. Chapin McCarty. On August 17, 1944 she married Walter Benson in Blytheville.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; son, Walter Edward Benson; five sisters; great-granddaughter, Angel Benson; great-grandson, Trey Jewell.

Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Benson (Thelma) of Imboden, Eugene Benson of West Monroe, LA, Rick Benson (Ina) of Imboden, David Benson (Claire) of Tuckerman, Gary Benson of Michigan; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 26th from 5 to 7pm in the Cox-Fears Chapel. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 27th at 2pm in the First Baptist Church in Imboden with Jerry Clements officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery in Imboden.

Pallbearers are Bob Lewis, Dan Matthews, Davis Matthews, Buck Sharp, Britt Conrad, and Terry Rorex.

Honorary pallbearers are Ralph Jean and Billy Gene Downing.
