Alma Jerelene Bridges, age 95 years, born November 26, 1922, and a lifetime resident of Lawrence County, departed from this life on March 10, 2018, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.

She was a 1943 graduate of Sloan Hendrix Academy of Imboden and was of the Methodist faith. Alma married Owen Bridges, the love of her life, on May 27, 1944, have had 64 years together.

Her parents John E. Smith and Cora Betty Smith, and her twin siblings, Virgil E. Smith and wife Mary, and Christene Wagner and husband Fritz preceded her in passing.

She is survived by her three children: a daughter, Carolyn Bridges of Black Rock, and her two sons, Owen Jimmy Bridges and wife Judy of Walnut Ridge, and Bobby Malcolm Bridges and wife Linda of Imboden. Also surviving her is her precious grand-daughter, Bridget Loftus and husband Kent, and their son, Owen Hogan Loftus - Alma's great grandson and her pride and joy of Marathon, Florida. Her precious grand-son, Brad Michael Bridges and wife Julie of St. Simons Island, Georgia also survives her. A step grand-son, Tim Hudson also survives her.
