Anita Lutricia Duncan, 85, of Walnut Ridge passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 28, 2024, at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge. She was born January 1, 1939, to the late Clarence and Virginia Cook Owens.  She was employed at Skil Manufacturing during her life and was of the Baptist belief.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Pierce Jr., a brother, Don Owens and an infant sister, Janet.

She is survived by her children, Michael Owens (Terri) of Belton, South Carolina, Linda Herring of Portia, Scotty Pierce (Lisa) of Booneville, and Shelley Smith (Michael) of Corning; grandchildren, Troy Owens (Sally), Kevin Owens, Amanda Herring (Derek), Josh Herring (Emily), Shayna Sherwood (Mason), Clay Smith, and Seth Smith; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jacob, Keegan, Carson, Cameron, Blakely, and Ryker.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
