Anna Jean McKinney, 86, of Black Rock passed from this life on Sunday, January 26, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born September 12, 1938, in Winnebago County Wisconsin to the late Joseph and Jean (Garrett) Strecock. Anna enjoyed reading Danielle Steele and Nora Roberts novels, playing bingo, going to yard sales, and collecting thimbles. She loved everyone and had the biggest heart. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years Hubert "Red" McKinney; infant daughter, Rebecca Lee McKinney; brother, Walter Newman; and sisters, Marilyn Toth, Margie Wilover, and Deloris Wilover.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Holladay (Danny) of Lake City and Peggy McKinney of Pocahontas; grandchildren Patrick Holladay and Mirandi Anderson (Dustin); and great-grandchildren Hunter Holladay, Kaleb Anderson, Dominic Holladay, and Emily Anderson.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 12 until 1 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with funeral services immediately following at 1 p.m. Jimmy Dunlap will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
