Betty M. Green, 82, of Hoxie, Arkansas passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born September 22, 1936 in Walnut Ridge to the late Sam Collins and Joe and Callie Jennings. Betty was of the Baptist belief.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Green, whom she married on February 8, 1958. Also preceding her in death were four brothers, a sister and two sons, Michael and Lesley Green.

She is survived by two daughters, Sue Ann Hampton (the late Eddie Hampton Sr.), Walnut Ridge and Connie Owens (J.W. Owens), Hoxie; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several other nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. The funeral will follow at 12 p.m. with her nephew, Thomy Green officiating. Burial will follow at Whittaker Cemetery in Walnut Ridge under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Allen, Steven Briggs, Jim Collins, Ricky Collins, Buddy Curtis, and Lamont Moody.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Colley, Tim Green, and Kris Wirzfeld.
