Betty Lou Holobaugh Born, 89, of Pocahontas, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge.  She was born on April 13, 1929 to James and Irene Foster Holobaugh in Black Rock.  She taught school at Edgewood Elementary School in Maryland. Betty served in the United States Navy and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pocahontas.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son, James Born (Veronica) of Richmond, VA; a sister, Joanne Hightower of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Nicolas and Paulina; nephews, Dennis and Scott and a niece, Debby.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Masonic Cemetery in Pocahontas with James Wainscott officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
