Betty Ruth Howard, 78, of Lynn, Arkansas, entered into the presence of the Lord on Monday, May 26, 2025, with the love of her family surrounding her. She was born on November 2, 1946, in Walnut Ridge to the late Jarrell "JB" Arnold and Thelma (Tyson) Arnold.

Betty attended school in Lynn, Arkansas, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Waukegan, Illinois, and fondly recalled working in cotton fields in the Richwoods community with her family as a child. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked in various jobs, including bookkeeping, pharmacy technician, librarian, personal caretaker, substitute teacher, and mail carrier. She was a faithful servant of the Lord, dedicating 17 years to AWANA and serving as a Sunday school teacher for 24 years. She attended Arkansas College after graduating from high school and received a diploma from the Faith Bible Institute.

She is survived by her sons, Taylor Howard, Robert (Tracy) Howard, and daughter, Ginger Howard Bratcher; siblings, Carol (Randall) Norris and Mathew Mooney; grandchildren, Ashley and Hannah Bratcher, and Allison Howard, Chelsey (Jake) Lovelady, Courtney (Spencer) Doyle, Holden and Tinsley Howard; great-grandchildren, Averie, Colson, Tucker, Mattox, Hudson, and Tatum; and a host of other family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald of 49 years; daughter-in-law, Amanda Howard; siblings, Bob Arnold, Elmer Dee "Deanie" Mooney; and nephew, Robert Davis.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Saffell Missionary Baptist Church, with funeral services following immediately at 11 a.m. Bro. Jerry Clements will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dry Creek Cemetery in Lynn under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Brandon Harris, Alan Brannon, Randy Anderson, Holden Howard, Keith Geurin, and Josh Geurin.

Honorary pallbearers are Joe Raney, Jake Lovelady, Spencer Doyle, Chris Troutman, and Tal Durham.
