Betty Lou Walker, 88, of Walnut Ridge, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at her residence. She was born on June 24, 1938, to the late John Franklin and Ethel Mae (Hendrickson) Cook, in Trumann. Betty was united in marriage to Bobby Wayne Walker on June 17, 1956 in Trumann. She was a member of the United Free Will Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.

Betty was a woman of deep faith and the prayer warrior of her family, whom she loved dearly. For 47 years, she took great pride in her career as a cosmetologist, bringing beauty and joy to countless lives. Outside of her work, Betty found immense happiness in tending to her flowers and watching purple martin birds.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband; one infant son, and two infant daughters; brothers, Bill Cook, Tom Cook, Johnny Cook, Charles Cook, Jerry Cook, and Robert Cook; and sister, Patricia (Cook) Neece.

She is survived by her sons, Greg Walker (Krystal) of Walnut Ridge, Bobby Walker (Julie) of Hoxie, and daughter, Donna Roddy (Dewey) of Beebe; brother, Larry Cook of Walnut Ridge; sister, Mary Craig of Pocahontas, and Peggy Hastings of Oxford, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Josh, Brad, Jennifer, Benjamin, Mollie, and Cole Walker; several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 1 until 2 P.M. in Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge with funeral services immediately following at 2 P.M. Chuck Fitzgerald will officiate. Interment will follow in the Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Family will serve as pallbearers.
