Pocahontas- Billie Jean Gray, 90, of Pocahontas, formerly of Walnut Ridge, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at her residence.  She was born September 19, 1930, in Walnut Ridge to Jimmy and Dealy Davis Henderson.  She married Reverend Bill Gray on October 13, 1951 in Hoxie.  She was a devoted pastor's wife and a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Pocahontas.  She was known as "Mama Gray" to many people and was known for her famous peanut brittle.

In addition to her parents. Billie was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Henderson; sister, Thelma Gipson; and half-brothers, Noble, Hite, Paul, and Eugene Henderson; and half-sisters, Hazel Matchett and Betty Tahlman.

Billie is survived by her husband, Reverend Bill Gray of the home; sons, Mike Gray (Debbie) of Highland and Tommy Gray of Walnut Ridge; daughter, Donna Cochran (Jerry) of Pocahontas; half-brother, Joe Henderson of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren, Allison (Brad), Garret, Lauren, Brook (Zeo), Tara (Michael), Jerod, and Carrington (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Darby, Colby, Weston, Zion, Zayli, Bentley, Shelby (Hunter), Grayson, Braxton, Ashton, Cullen, Avery, and Kingston.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 11 until 1 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home located at 3280 Hwy 67B North in Walnut Ridge.  A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge.  Jerry Cochran and Michael Maupin will officiate.  All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Grandsons and Great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers are the men of the First United Pentecostal Church of Pocahontas.
