Billy Greg Austin, 51, of Dyersburg, TN, formerly of Walnut Ridge, was found deceased Monday, May 19, 2014 at his residence. He was born April 17, 1963 in Walnut Ridge to Jewell Willard "Peck" and Bessye Jo Waldron Austin. He had a BSE in business administration, worked as a claims officer for the Social Security Administration in Jackson, TN, volunteered as an announcer for the Dyersburg High School baseball team, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Dyersburg, TN.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Georgia Allison; paternal grandparents, Frank and Ruby Austin; and maternal grandparents, Jim and Vivian DeArman.

Survivors include his sons, Bailey and Jacob Austin, of the home; and sister, Carolyn Rudder (Gary) of Jonesboro.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 22nd, at 2 pm at Three Oaks Chapel Baptist Church in Dyersburg, TN. Cox-Fears Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
