Walnut Ridge-  Billy Charles Segraves, 81, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on October 23, 1936 to Bill and Veoma Haynes Segraves in the Fender Community near Walnut Ridge.  Billy married Hope Waddell on June 11, 1955 at Arbor Grove.  Billy was a farmer, carpenter and had worked for the The Times Dispatch.  He was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law, Tony Dobbs.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Hope Segraves of the home; two sons, David Segraves (Debi) of Mountain View;  Bobby Segraves (Michelle)of Walnut Ridge; a daughter, Cheryl Dobbs of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren, Kristi Christensen (Lennard), Stephanie Dobbs, Sarah Blazer, RebeKah McGinty (Billy), Matthew Segraves (Kelsey), Brianna Segraves (Pete), Jade Lawson (Derek); step grandchildren, Kyle Smith, Morgan Smith, Desha Mills (Stan) and Marisa Rector (Tim), and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 12 until 2 p.m. at First Freewill Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge. Funeral will immediately follow at 2 pm. with Tim Campbell officiating.  Burial will be in Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery in Walnut Ridge under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
