Bobby Joe Walker, 73, of Beech Grove died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge. He was born October 2, 1939 in Beech Grove to M. W. and Dot Furlong Walker. On February 16, 1962, he married Nora G. Kemp in Walnut Ridge. He was a farmer and saw mill operator and was of Baptist belief.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Marion Walker; sister, Christine Watson.

Survivors include his wife, Nora of the home; sons, Joe Walker (Lori) of Light, Jessie "Pudge" Walker (Tina) of Mountain Home; daughter, Brenda Stokes of Paragould; brother, Major Walker (Barbara) of Light; grandchildren, Karie Joe Walker (Jayme), Casey Stokes (Charity), Justin Walker; great-grandchildren, Carmen Stokes, Colby Stokes, Quentin Quam, Kylie Joe Walker, Aiden Gray.

Visitation will be Tuesday 6 to 8pm at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. Funeral services will be Wednesday 2pm at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge with Don Slatton officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Home Cemetery near Stanford.

Serving as pallbearers are Karie Joe Walker, Justin Walker, Casey Stokes, Greg Bailey, Ray Nelson, Ernie Nelson.

Honorary pallbearers are Marlin Bailey and Mark Brown.
