Brenda Lee Way, 55, of Portia passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at St. Bernard's Regional Center in Jonesboro. She was a certified nurse's assistant and was of the Pentecostal belief.
She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Nixon; brother, Kenneth Franklin Nixon and a sister, Donna Futrell.
Survivors include two sons, Steven Lowe (Lacey) of Champaign, IL and Christopher Lowe of Palestine, IL; a daughter, Patches Biernbaum of Palestine, IL; mother, Ruthie Nixon of Portia; brother, Michael Nixon of Daytona Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Logan and August Biernbaum and Porter Rains-Lowe.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
