Hoxie – Huey Dale "Buck" Jones, 84, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at his residence.  He was born February 14, 1936 to the late Samuel and Ruie Swindle Jones.  He married Mable Hodge on October 16, 1955 in Portia.  Buck was an accountant, owned Buck's Tax Returns, and was a GySgt in the United States Marine Corps. During his 30 years of military service, he served tours in Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge, and was a member of the VFW, DAV, American Legion, Masonic Lodge, and Lawrence County Coon Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Hazel Wilcockson, Jewell Burk, Mary Gay, Ruby Johnson, and Sammie Sharp.

He is survived by his wife, Mable of the home; sons, Robert Jones (Linda) of Imboden, Stephen Jones (Pam) of Searcy, James Jones (Sandy) of Clear Springs; daughters, Vickie Romine (Nathan) of Hoxie and Lisa Scott (Wes) of Lorado; sister, Judy Reed of Jonesboro; seventeen grandchildren and thirty-five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 10 until 11 a.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  Graveside services will be at 12 p.m. in Lorado Cemetery.  Bro. Derek Collins will officiate.  Military honors will be rendered.  All arrangements will be under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Robby Jones, Jeremy Jones, Wesley Jones, Jarad Jones, Justin Jones, Matt Dorton, Slade Scott, and Micky Jones

Honorary pallbearers will be Callan Romine, Mitchell Clay, and Zach Jones.

Due to Covid-19 guidelines, social distancing and mask guidelines will be observed.
