Carolyn Jean Fortenberry, 65, of Tuckerman, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Lindley Care Center in Newport. She was born March 8, 1947 in Saffell to Alonzo Columbus and Rosie Lea Handley Huskey. She was a member of Faith Assembly Church in Tuckerman and was Home Health Aide for twenty-four years.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Jimmy Claude Fortenberry; brothers, Donnie Huskey and Bill Huskey; sisters, Virgie Sullivan and Eveline Huskey-Miller.
Survivors include her son, Shawn McAllister of Leavenworth, KS; stepdaughter, Kim; brothers, Phillip Huskey of Tuckerman and Johnny Huskey of Ravenden Springs; sisters, Madaline McIntosh of Newport, Earline Eickhorst of Hermitage, MO, and Sharon Sales of Swifton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, 1:00 to 2:00pm at Faith Assembly Church in Tuckerman. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with Rev. Brandon Gates officiating. Burial will follow in Dowell's Chapel Cemetery in Tuckerman.
