Carrie Elizabeth Haugh Hunter, 46, of Pocahontas passed from this life on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas. She was born March 29, 1978, in Warren, Ohio to Larry and Dorothia (Weeks) Haugh.  She was an assistant manager at Wendy's and was of the Christian belief. Carrie's greatest joy was her grandbabies. Her mother and father were her heroes.  She leaves a legacy of love and courage, and had many friends and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tracy Weeks, Elizabeth James, and Bill and Iola Haugh; special friend, James Andrew King.

She is survived by her husband, David Hunter of Paragould; parents, Larry and Dorothia Haugh of Pocahontas; son, Brent King of Pocahontas; sisters, Melissa (Eric) Woodard of Walnut Ridge and Sarah (Chris) Nieman of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Harlyn King and Lakyn Crays; nieces and nephews, Phillip Wynne, Haley Reid, Ethen Woodard, and Kaylynn Nieman.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with funeral services immediately following at 12 p.m. John McClaughlin will officiate.  Interment will follow in Wells Cemetery near Dalton under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dallas Davis, Draven Ship, Shaun Kincade, Stephen King, Jason Rice, and Chris Nieman.

Honorary pallbearers are Tanner Sullens, Dylan Templeman, and Eric Woodard.
