El Campo, Texas-  Cecil Marion Rorex, age 90, passed away on February 16, 2020 in El Campo, Texas.  He was born on May 26, 1929 in Egypt to the late Earl D. and Mamie Jane Felts Rorex. He married Ella Marie Sammons on October 8, 1949 in Egypt. Cecil owned Rorex Midway Market for six years. He worked as a grocer his entire life.  He was a member of Colony Hill United Methodist Church in San Antonio, Texas.

Preceding him in death are his wife, Ella; his parents; son, Jeffrey Cecil Rorex; brothers, John Francis "Jack" Rorex, Samuel Rorex, and Robert Rorex.

He is survived by his son, Douglas Rorex (Jane) of Marianna, Florida; grandchildren, Paul, Keith, and Stephan; daughter-in-law, Margaret Rorex; and an almost sister, Barbara Guignon.

Visitation will be Friday, February 21, 2020 from 10 until 11 a.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with funeral following immediately at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Markham Cemetery near Egypt under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
