Charles Lowell Burris, 92, of Walnut Ridge, moved to his heavenly home on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge. He was born the seventh son of Fred and Eltha Gage Burris on January 17, 1925, west of Jonesboro. He married the love of his life, Edna Mae Lambie on September 9, 1945 in Jonesboro. He retired from General Electric after more than twenty years but remained a farmer at heart throughout his lifetime. He was a proud, yet humble member and song leader at Egypt Baptist Church. He served with honor in the United States Army during WWII.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Everett, Roy, Lewis, Kenneth, Leon, and Jim Burris.

He is survived by his wife, Edna of the home; son, Rick (Brenda) Burris of Walnut Ridge; grandson, Hunter (Ashley) Burris of Walnut Ridge; and great grandchildren, Baylee, Cade, and Madelyn Burris.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dennis Burris, Doug Burris, Darrell Burris, Mark Tate, Erick Tate, and Mark Lambie.

Honorary pallbearers are Ed Hill, Glen Lingo, Wayne Wiggins, Sam Montgomery, Eddie Burris, and Darrell Young.
