Charles Ruben Lapiro II, 40, of Light passed from this life on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro.  He was born September 2, 1983, in Jonesboro to Rev. Charles Ruben Lapiro I and Pastor Rebecca Borsch Lapiro.  He was a self-employed sheetrock finisher and a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Hoxie.  Charles loved church and his church family.  Anytime there was a need, he helped financially.  He played flamingo guitar, spoke five different languages, and loved old cars and trucks.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother, Pastor Rebecca Lapiro of the home; siblings, Charyla Jo Marlin of Cherry Valley, David Lapiro (Karen) of Trumann, Eddie Lapiro (Melody) of Jonesboro, and Shonda Clayton of Harrisburg; Aunts, Barbara Pace of Olive Branch, Mississippi, and Judy Johnson (Jimmy) of New Albany, Indiana; uncle, Eddie Lashley of Louisville, Kentucky; and three best friends, Lewis Gilbreath (Amanda) of Jonesboro, Donna Winchester, and Bro. Gerald Martin, both of Walnut Ridge.

Graveside services will be Friday, January 5, 2024, at 11 a.m. in Jonesboro Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Jonesboro. Pastor Rebecca Lapiro will officiate.  All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Yosef Moya, Lee Moya, Dallas Moya, Lewis Gilbreath, Robert Burgess, Eddie Lapiro, and David Lapiro.

Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Hoxie.
