Christean Davidson, 81, of Hoxie, passed from this life on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge. She was born on July 10, 1945, in Swifton, to the late Oscar and Alice (Copeland) Butler. Christean was united in marriage to Paul Davidson Jr. on July 10, 1970 near Alicia. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist belief.

Christean was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Sonny Butler; and her sister, Ruby House.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Davidson Jr. of Hoxie; her brother, Carl of Missouri; her sister, Pat of Illinois; and two nieces.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 22, 2026, 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. in the Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge with funeral services immediately following at 11 A.M. Bro. Rob Combs will officiate. Interment will follow in the Strangers Home Cemetery in Alicia under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. 

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Roy Paul Davidson, Stacy Davidson, Tim Hodges, Jason Luster, Bobby Luster, and David Dobbs.
