Clell Cox, age 67, of Pocahontas, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born on March 31, 1948 to Ted and Mary Lee Cox in Ponce de Leon, Missouri. On December 31, 1989, he married Donna Goff in St. Louis, MO. He was a graduate of Spokane High School, and Dallas Mortuary School. Clell was an embalmer, funeral director, formerly owned funeral homes in Arkansas and Missouri and was co-owner of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. He began his career in the funeral business at age 16. He was a mason and a member of the church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Nathalea Dye.

He is survived by his wife, Donna, of the home; one daughter, Jennifer Walker of Springfield, MO; two granddaughters; one niece, and one nephew.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge with David Gibson officiating. Visitation will be from 11 am until time for services. Burial will be at a later date in Spokane Cemetery in Spokane, Missouri.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Don Brown, Andy McCandliss, Ron Ott, Jason Martin, Johnny Moss, and Ray Rollings, Sonny Powell and Stewart Lambert.
