Cleone Deloris Hoffman, 89, of St. Louis died October 18, 2013, at Green Park Nursing Home in St. Louis, MO. She was born October 3, 1924 in Alma, IA to Alexander and Elizabeth Saul McElvenny. On June 30, 1945, she married Robert Hoffman in Waterloo, IA. She was an Editor for Methodist Publishing House and was of Methodist belief.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Vera Bolte.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Hoffman of the home; daughters, Jan Freeman of St. Louis, MO and Jill Swaner of Nashville, TN; brother, Harold McElvenny; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Fears Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge. No services are planned.
