Cloa Etta Rider, 90, of Walnut Ridge passed from this life on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge. She was born July 28, 1934, in Walnut Ridge to the late Verman and Pauline (Staus) Holland. Cloa was united in marriage to Paul Rider on August 4, 1951, in Walnut Ridge.  Cloa and her husband, Paul owned and operated Sears in Walnut Ridge during their life. She was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.

In addition to her parents, Cloa was preceded in death by her husband;  brothers, Tommy Holland and J.F. Holland.

She is survived by her children, Jim Rider (Glenda) of East End, Martha Fullen (Marty), and Kelley Rider, both of Walnut Ridge; sister, Geraline Rider of Pocahontas; grandson Anthony Rider; great-grandsons, Landen and Carsen; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with funeral services immediately following at 2 p.m. John Durham and Blake Jamison will officiate. Interment will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeff Rider, Dale Rider, Terry Holland, Scott Holland, Josh Holland, and Tony Anderson.

Honorary pallbearers are Adam Holland, Robert Rider, Craig Rider, Bobby Rider, Cody Holland, and Kelley Rider.
