Darrell Gordon Kelley, Jr. 87, of Walnut Ridge passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence on Thursday, March 7, 2024.  He was born August 25, 1936, in Madison, South Dakota to the late Darrell Gordon Kelley Sr. and Edith Anna (Bidwell) Kelley.  He was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Brown on June 17, 1961, in Hayti, Missouri. Darrell was an accountant for American Agviation and Allied AgCat for over 50 years. He proudly served in the United States Army for three years. He was of the Presbyterian belief and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Walnut Ridge. Darrell was a member of the Walnut Ridge Country Club and Rolling Hills Country Club, FCA, American Cancer Society, USGA, and ASGA.  He was also an avid Razorback fan and die hard accomplished golfer and winner of 12 club championships and other well recognized amateur events. In 2015 and 2016, Darrell, along with his brother, Frank, Stan Jarrett, and Bobby Burrow won back to back national titles for the state of Arkansas in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes National golf tournaments.

In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann of the home; children, Rick Allen Kelley of Greenwood, Michael Patrick Kelley and Janna Lynn Kelley both of Walnut Ridge; brother, Frank Kelley (Karen) of Walnut Ridge; nieces and nephews, Dana Kelley (Kelly) and family, and Terry Kelley (Sloane) and family both of Walnut Ridge, and Carol Kelley and family of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Megan Kelley-Watkins (Kaden), Patrick Kelley (Jordan), Drake Berry (Abigail), and Holly Berry; great-grandson, Bennett Kelley; and one soon to be great-granddaughter; special friends, Stan Jarrett, Bobby Burrow, and Allen Smith; and a host of other family members, friends and golfing partners.

Visitation will be Monday, March 11, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Walnut Ridge with funeral services immediately at 1 p.m. Bobby Burrow will officiate.  Interment will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Patrick Kelley, Drake Berry, Kaden Watkins, Cameron Kelley, Barrett Kelley, and John Scott Kelley.

Honorary pallbearers are Dana Kelley, Terry Kelley, Carol Kelley, Richie Burgin, Stan Jarrett, and Allen Smith.
