David Deloyd Champlin, 71, of Hoxie passed from this life on April 25, 2023 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge. He was born on August 14, 1951 to the late Virgil Deloyd and Hazel (Robins) Champlin in St. Louis, Missouri. He proudly served in the United States Marines for 4 years, in the Vietnam War. David was also a machinist for Rockford Screw Products in Illinois for several years. He was of the Christian belief.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his children, Angela (Ron) Wallgren of Machesney Park, Illinois, Kenneth Champlin of Walnut Ridge, and Misty (Vaughn) Yow of Greenbrier; sister, Anita (James) Mashburn of Bono; grandchildren Taylor Johnson, Caleb Wallgren, Jenna Wallgren, Seth Champlin, Haley Champlin, Alexander Yow, Bryce Yow, and a great grandchild, Marshall Jackson Pinkle, and many other friends and family members

Visitation will be Friday April 28, 2023 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Brian Alexander officiating. Interment will follow in Powhatan Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. Military honors will be rendered at the cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Ron Wallgren, Vaughn Yow, James Mashburn, Steve Tribble, Kevin Johnson, and Eli Lane.
