Pocahontas-David Edward Madden, 59, passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.  He was born on August 13, 1959 to Edward Eugene and Juanita Viola Dalton Madden in Pocahontas.  David did construction work during his life and was of the Pentecostal belief.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, cooking, and wrestling.

Preceding him in death were his father, Edward Madden; paternal grandparents, Jake and Fronie Madden; and maternal grandparents, Lewis and Cordelia Dalton.

He is survived by his mother, Juanita Madden; son, Corey of Stillman Valley, Illinois; sisters, Ruby Maple (Ray) of Ravenden and Juanita Hare (Paul) of Pocahontas; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  The funeral will be Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 2 p.m. with David Craig officiating.  Interment will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
