E.A. Davis, 76, of Martin Creek, died June 27, 2014 at his residence. He was born July 15, 1937 in Williford to James Millard and Jancy Elizabeth Brown Davis. On September 21, 1961 he married Dorthy Jean Rogers in Ravenden. He was a school bus driver for Williford School 30 years, worked for Cooper Community Inc. for 10 years, a charter member of Forest Hill Baptist Church and also a charter member of the Martin Creek Fire Department. He was a strong pillar of strength for his family, friends and community.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers, Ketchel and Kelsie Davis.

Survivors include his wife, Dorthy of the home; sons, James Davis of Martin Creek and Freeman Davis(Stephanie) of Mammoth Springs; daughters, Sheila Ingram of Martin Creek and Sharon Lamb(Bobby) of Black Rock; sisters, Fredia Collins of Mammoth Springs and Connie Yeager of Highland; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday from 5:30-8:00 pm at the Forest Hill Baptist Church in the Bradford Community near Ravenden. Funeral services will be Tuesday 2 pm at Forest Hill Baptist Church with Hank McElderry, Wayne Hillis and Johnny White officiating. Burial will follow in Bradford Cemetery near Ravenden under the direction of Cox-Fears Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
