Imboden – Edith Geneva Brightwell, 88, of Imboden, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Walnut Ridge.  She was born on November 15, 1928 in Tyronza to Henry Carroll and Lula Bell Overtuff, and was married to Gene Brightwell.  She was a retired rural contract mail carrier for the U.S. Postal service after thirty- five years of service.  She was a member of Imboden Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Gene Brightwell; son, Ben Brightwell; brothers, Cecil, Harvey, and Carroll Overtuff; and sisters, Ruby Smith and Bonnie Fulk.

Survivors include daughters, Nancy Day of Springfield, Missouri and Patty (Eugene) Dickson of Imboden, eleven grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Hope Cemetery in Imboden with Gevan Murphy officiating.  All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Eugene Dickson, Larry Dickson, Michael Cole, Phillip Dickson, Ben Brightwell, and Jerrod Rainwater.

Honorary pallbearers are Jennifer Cole, Amber Rainwater, and Shayla Dickson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Legacy Hospice, 610-C, Highway 67B, Walnut Ridge, Arkansas 72476.
