Edward Britt of Walnut Ridge passed from this life on September 17, 2021 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 66. Edward was born on November 25, 1954 in Walnut Ridge to William Luther and Wanda Lee (Galbreath) Britt.

Edward farmed, was a machine operator, a computer programmer and retired as an engineer for Best Manufacturing in Jonesboro after being there for the last 22 years. He was a member of Life Tabernacle in Walnut Ridge and was of the Pentecostal belief. Edward served as a board member and helped lead church services. He was great man of God and loved serving the Lord and supporting the church.

Two young country kids were united in marriage on December 21, 1973 in Walnut Ridge. They were blessed with two children and six grandchildren. They were lovingly married for almost 48 years.

In addition to his wife, Carolyn, he is survived by two brothers, Roy (Denise) Britt and Ray (Peggy) Britt both of Walnut Ridge; one daughter, Yulanda (Joe) Fultner of Smithville; one son, Jason Britt of Imboden and six grandchildren, Michael (Madison) McQuay Jr, Zain Britt, Jonathan Britt, Maddison Britt, Abigail Fultner, and Isabella Fultner; many more family and dear friends and his mother in law, Maureen Simmons whom was very dear to him; she always referred to him as "My Edward".

Other than his parents Edward was preceded in death by a brother Jim Britt.

A visitation for Edward will be held at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Life Tabernacle in Walnut Ridge at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Markham Cemetery near Egypt under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
