Ernest Eugene Moore, 70 of Hoxie died Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge. He was born on September 8, 1945 to Benjamin and Mattie Mae Crumpton Moore. He married Syble Faye Langley on October 16, 1970. He was a farmer and of the Pentecostal belief.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents ; his wife, Syble Faye; brothers, Danny Bray, Bennie Moore; grandsons, Noah Lee Gatewood and Eli Neece.

Survivors include his children, James Bryant of Jonesboro, Connie Moore of Rockford, IL, Gene Moore (Angela) of Baton Rouge, LA, Gary Moore (Patty) of Pocahontas, Teri Patterson of Hoxie, Tonia Rowland of Alicia, Michael Moore (Jerrie) of Pocahontas; brothers, George Moore of Omaha, NE, Michael Moore and B. J. Moore of LA, Wayne Laroe of Paragould; sister, Pat Mortson of LA; twenty seven grandchildren; and twenty one great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday at 10 am at the Church of Jesus Christ , Highway 166 South, Pocahontas. Funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm with Rick Hart officiating. Burial will be at Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Sons will serve as pallbearers with grandsons serving as honorary pallbearers.
