Ernestene Thacker, 85, of Walnut Ridge passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Lawrence Hall Nursing Home in Walnut Ridge.  She was born on November 28, 1931 in Smithville, Arkansas to Ruben and Francis Josephine Ratliff Thacker.  She was retired from St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center, and was a member of the Smithville Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Leona Kutzman Jones; brother, Basil Thacker; sisters, Violeta Allen, and infant siblings, Reba Uvila Thacker and Billy Joe Thacker.

She is survived by her son, Marvin Kutzman (Jo Ann) of El Paso, Texas; brother, Darrell Thacker of Smithville; sisters, Nina Willmuth (F.K.) and Oletha Willmuth, both of Strawberry; grandchildren, Tara Kutzman and Afton Kutzman Check; great grandchildren, Bailey, Geonni, and Kylie Mireles and Dannika, Bella, and Jacoby Check.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 1 -2 pm at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  Funeral will follow at 2 pm in Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Russell officiating.  Burial will be at Smithville Cemetery in Smithville under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Donnie Thacker, Darian Thacker, Jim Thacker, Eddie Witt, Jerry Matheny, Jared Smith, Zack Witt, and Justin Burrow.

Honorary pallbearers are Barry Thacker, Brian Thacker, Drew Willmuth, Chris Wooldridge, Keaton Thacker, Farrell Ratcliffe, and Doug Allen.
