Evelyn Bush, 95 ,of Walnut Ridge passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 at her home.  She was born on March 9, 1922 in Sedgwick to Jasper and Pearl Melton Smelser. Evelyn was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert Bush; brothers, Herbert Smelser, J. M. Smelser and Lehman Smelser; sisters; Delphia Meadows and Beatrice Penney.

Survivors include a son, Bob Bush (Carol) of Lake Worth, Florida; daughters, Janis Bush of Walnut Ridge and Abbie Wilson (Gary) of North Little Rock; a brother, Marion Smelser of Michigan; a sister, Frances Dance (Joe) of Wayne, Michigan; grandchildren, Garrett Wilson and Katie Wilson.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 1 until 2:30 pm at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:30 pm with Jake Guenrich officiating.  Burial will be in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Garrett Wilson, Ray Stone, Phil Sheets, Michael Covey, Phil Tolson and Brad Flippo.

Honorary pallbearers are Gary Kearby and Katie Wilson.
