Black Rock- Everett "Duane" Adams, 86, passed from this life on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.  He was born July 13, 1934 to the late John Everett and Isabell Erwin Adams in Sharon, Tennessee.  He married Merilyn Flippo on September 28, 1958 in Black Rock.  Duane was a salesman at Memphis Rubber Manufacturing during his life.  He was a member of the Portia church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Merilyn of 62 years, of the home; one son, Michael Duane Adams (Nettie) of Springdale; brothers, Melvin Adams (Melinda) of Bradford, Tennessee, Mitchell Adams of Sharon, Tennessee; sister, Teresa Wainscott (Roy) of Clarksville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Adam Adams, Ambre Adams, and Kayla Mondragon; great-grandchildren, Adam, Victoria, Marley, Ellie, Moses, and Noemii.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 10 until 11 a.m. at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge.  The funeral will follow immediately at 11 a.m.  Robert Davis and Roger Honey will officiate.  Interment will follow in Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Due to Covid-19 guidelines, masks and social distancing will be observed.
