JONESBORO – Flossie Mae Williams, 96, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, August 5 at Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House. She had recently moved to Jonesboro after living most of her lifetime in Walnut Ridge. She was born June 2, 1916 in Wirth to Frank and Dona King Perry. On January 8, 1935 she married Travis Williams in Powhatan. She was a homemaker and of Baptist belief.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; brother, Clifford Perry; sister, Hazel Robins.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Garland Roberts of Walnut Ridge; brother, Clayton Perry of Ventura, CA; sisters, Snoda Corbett of Walnut Ridge and Bessie Dotson of Poughkeepsie; granddaughter, Carol Garland Colclasure; great-grandchildren, Nicole Potts and Derek Doyle; great-great-grandchildren, Caleb Potts, Jace Potts, Kierstyn Potts.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 8, 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. Funeral service will immediately follow visitation with Jackie Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park.
