Walnut Ridge – Freddie Lavern Williams "Fred the barber, also known as Twister", age 68 of Walnut Ridge passed away October 27, 2015 at his home. He was born on October 27, 1947 to Vern and Elsie Hoggard Williams in Walnut Ridge. He was a barber in Jonesboro and West Memphis since 1967 and of the Pentecostal belief.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vern Williams; sister, Marsha Goodman; and niece, Tiffany Nicole Goodman.

Survivors include: daughter, Michelle Segraves (Bobby) of Walnut Ridge; stepson, Earl Ray Hamby of Sedgwick; mother, Elsie Hoggard Capps of Kansas; brother, Robb Capps of Fort Meyers, Florida; sisters, Berta Morgan (Frank) of Southhaven, Mississippi and Sheila Rowley (Wayne) of Kansas; brother-in-law, Vondas "Butch" Goodman of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Kyle Austin Smith and Morgan Paige Smith of Walnut Ridge, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with Bro. Ted Shields officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Childrens Shelter, 107 Benson Drive, Walnut Ridge, Arkansas 72476.
