Gary Wayne Hefner, 66, of Clover Bend died Friday, October 5, 2012, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was born June 12, 1946 in Fontaine to Robert Lee and Hazel Elsie Trotter Hefner. On May 27, 1998 in Clover Bend, he married Sandra Lee Fry. He was a lifetime farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Donnie Joe Hefner.
Survivors include his wife of the home; sons, Gary Dean Hefner of Harrisburg, Terry Lee Fears of Clover Bend, Shawn David Foster of Pocahontas; daughters, Christy Boothe of Sedgewick, Ashley Nicole Fears of Clover Bend; brothers, Robert J. Hefner of Maynard, Roy Stanley Hefner of Hillsboro, MO; sister, Patricia Lawson of Fontaine; grandchildren, Hillary Hefner, Allison Hefner, Jessica Boothe, Adam Boothe, Zayden Foster, Maggie Foster, Ivy Rose Hefner, Alexus Fears, Harper Fears, Seth Brooks, Camden Brooks; great-grandchild, Cameron Burns. Visitation will be Monday 5:00 to 8:00pm at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. Funeral services will be Tuesday 1:00pm at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge with Eddie Passmore officiating. Burial to follow in Lorado Cemetery near Walcott. Pallbearers are Scott Finch, Allen Freer, Dennis Bullard, Dennis Smith, Tracy Gosha, Nathan Bonner.
