Gary Wayne Smith, 71, of Walnut Ridge passed from this life on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at NEA Baptist hospital in

Jonesboro. He was born April 21, 1953, in Walnut Ridge to the late Curtis and Thelma (Taylor) Smith. He was united in marriage to Linda Prondzinski on February 12, 1982, in Jonesboro. Gary owned and operated Smith's Upholstery. He was a member of the United Free Will Baptist church in Walnut Ridge. He loved to sing and play music, flying rc airplanes, painting, and spending time with his grandkids.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; and daughter, Tracy Linebaugh.

He is survived by his children, Kurt Smith of Jonesboro, Angie Simmons (Byron), Marcia Parker, Anthony Smith (Jennifer) all of Walnut Ridge, and Ashley Parker (Robert) of Bono; sister, Mona Coleman of Texas; grandchildren, Kaylee, Gabby, Aaron, Brittany, Enrique, Alonzo, Lauren, Drake, Brooklynn, Maddox, Hunter, and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Bryson, Julia, Lainey, and Raegan; significant other, Debbie King; and his church family.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 12 until 2 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with funeral services immediately following at 2 p.m. Glenn Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Old Military Cemetery in Sedgwick under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Enrique Perez, Alonzo Perez, Drake Smith, Hunter Parker, and Jason Ferguson.

Honorary pallbearer will be Aaron Pierce.
