Gary Dan Way, 73, of Mountain Home passed from this life on Wednesday, May 2, 2023, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home. He was born November 8, 1949, in Little Rock to the late Darrel and Earline (Archer) Way of Harrisburg. He was united in marriage to Deborah Neely on July 19, 1975, in Jonesboro. Gary completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Hendrix College and Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy from UCA. He worked as a respiratory therapist for over 40 years, and retired from Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home. He was a member of Crossroads Church of Christ in Mountain Home. Gary was raised Harrisburg, obtained the rank of Eagle Scout, loved the Arkansas Razorbacks, fishing and boating with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his beloved Maw Maw, Ruby Way; son, David A. Way; in-laws, Jack and Geneva Rorex to whom he was very close.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Deborah of the home; two daughters, Mary (Jeremy) Hensley of Eldridge, Missouri, and Samantha Capps of Salem; two sisters, Glenda (Doug) Scott and Gayle (Allen) Quattlebaum of Little Rock; 19 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and family members, and the Harrisburg class of 1967.

Visitation will be Friday, May 5, 2023, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with funeral services immediately following at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Markham Cemetery in Egypt under the direction of Cox Funeral home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are his grandsons, David A. Way, Jack Way, Daniel Couch, Josiah James, Andrew Capps, and his grandson-in-law, Caleb Smith.
