Gerald Burton Meeks, 57, of Pocahontas, passed from this life on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at his residence. He was born on October 28, 1968, in Newport to Billy and Lyndell (Ethridge) Meeks. He was a helicopter mechanic at Meeks Flying Service and attended the First Baptist Church in Black Rock.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lyndell Meeks; paternal grandparents, Johnnie and Cecil Meeks; and maternal grandparents, Pat and Iva Ethridge.

He is survived by his father, Billy Meeks of Pocahontas; son, Hunter Cecil (Meeks) Hawkins; and brother, Bobby Foster (Brande Davis) of Alicia.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
