Gloria Jean Gawf, 84, of Portia passed from this life on Tuesday, September 18, 2023, at her residence.  She was born October 2, 1938, in Clear Lake to Charlie and Opal (Decker) Gawf.  She was a factory worker, working at Frolic Footwear for thirty years during her lifetime.  Gloria was of the Pentecostal belief.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Mike Thomas Gawf; sister, Betty Graham; and brother-in-laws, Gerald Whitmire, Elmo Gentry, and Jerry Graham.

She is survived by siblings, Connie Gawf of the home, Donnie (Doc) Graham or Portia, Mary Gentry of Rockford, Illinois, and Barbara Whitmire of Mt. Ida; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 24, 2023, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  Funeral services will be Monday, September 25, 2023, at 2 p.m. with Roger Brand officiating.  Interment will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.
