Piggott – Harold Gene Thacker, 73 of Piggott passed away Thursday, March 30, 2016 at his residence. He was born on February 28, 1943 in Smithville to Jack and Grace Ann Tanner Thacker. He was retired from Emerson Electric after many years and a member of Lonoke Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Plina Savannah Sullivan Thacker; several brothers and sisters; and great grandson, William Richardson Buck III.

Survivors include daughters, Ann Buck (Billy) of Boydsville and Penny Sikes of Paragould; sisters, Laveda Drury and Shirley Drury of Lafe; Dee Carter of Florida, and Joyce Ann Malone of Paragould; grandchildren, Kendra Buck, Cobi Buck, Breanna Buck, Bailey Akau, Coty Willingham, Kaley Beckett, and Dakota Willingham; great grandchildren, Lawrence Willingham, Lincoln Willingham, Lucas Willingham, Evelyn Beckett, and Emery Hood.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Cox Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 12:00 pm with Charles Morgan officiating. Burial will be at Townsend Cemetery in Smithville under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
