Herbert Hoover Malone, 81, of Annieville died December 7, 2012, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was born July 5, 1931 in Trumann, to George and Leona Lansford Malone. On January 22, 1955, he married Gladys Marie Dickson in Hoxie. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was a self employed dozer operator.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mitchell Malone; grandson, Mitchell White; five brothers; one sister.
Survivors include his wife Gladys of the home; son, Russell Malone of Imboden; daughters, Deborah White of Imboden and Lisa Dyer of Jonesboro; brother, Clyde Malone of Fisher; sisters, Nadine French of McGehee and Lucille McDonald of Fisher; grandchildren, Shawn White (Christine) and Ryan White (Jennifer) all of Imboden, Shannon White (Nikki) of Annieville, Chris White (Billie) of Jonesboro, Shayne Malone of Ravenden, Brittany Malone of Annieville, Cole Pearson, Paige Pearson, and Gabriel Dyer all of Jonesboro; great-grandchildren, Gage Malone, Evan White, Dylan White, Faith White, Chance White, Jayden White, Bo White, Arissa White, Cyle White, Destiny White; one step-grandchild, Tyler Dyer.
Visitation will be Monday 10:00am to 12:00 noon at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Annieville. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge with Jerry Clements officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Annieville.
His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
