Agalia "Hope" Segraves, 87, of Walnut Ridge, passed from this life on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge. She was born May 5, 1937, in Walnut Ridge to the late Claude and Ruby (Hibbard) Waddell. She was united in marriage to Billy Charles Segraves on June 11, 1955, in Walnut Ridge. Hope was an office manager at The Times Dispatch in Walnut Ridge during her life and was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy; and brother, Carroll Waddell; son-in-law, Tony Dobbs; and brother-in-law Arliss LaMew.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Dobbs of Fort Worth, Texas, David Segraves (Debi) of Mountain View, and Bobby Segraves (Michelle) of Walnut Ridge; siblings, Edna Lea LaMew of Gulfport, Mississippi, Paul Waddell (Norma) of Kensett, Kelly Waddell (Joyce) of Walnut Ridge, and Mona Sue Helms (Danny) of Conway; grandchildren Kristi Christensen (Lennard), Stephanie Dobbs, Sarah Long (John), Rebekah McGinty (Billy), Matthew Segraves, Brianna Segraves (Pete), Jade Lawson (Derek), Kyle Smith (Macie), Morgan Ditto (Layne), Desha Mills (Stan), Marisa Rector (Tim); several great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, December 23, 2024, from 1 until 2 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge with funeral services immediately following at 2 p.m. Steve Trail will officiate. Interment will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Billy McGinty, Matthew Segraves, Ethan McGinty, Peyton Callahan, Kyle Smith, and John Long.

Honorary pallbearers are Paul Waddell, Danny Helms, and Kelly Waddell.
