James "Jimmy" Dean Fowler, 73, of Alicia, died Friday, March 28, 2014 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge. He was born on August 29, 1940 in the Hopewell community to George W. and Norma Muriel Smith Fowler.  He was a farmer and a member of the Main Street church of Christ.  He served as a board member for the Clover Bend School for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include sons, Scott Fowler (Rhonda) of Clover Bend and Mark A. Fowler of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Angela Barnes (Mitch) of Jonesboro; a brother, Billy Fowler of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Norma Butts of Walnut Ridge and Anna Sanders of North Little Rock; two grandchildren, Whitney Blackburn and Tyler Fowler.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Main Street church of Christ in Walnut Ridge with Rob Combs officiating.
