Walnut Ridge – James Ryan Decker, 87 of Walnut Ridge, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 at Cave City Nursing Home in Cave City. He was born on March 17, 1929 in Portia, Arkansas to James Rufus and Winnie Decker. He married Dorothy Davis on October 20, 1950. He served in the United States Navy, was retired from Waterloo Industries, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rockford, Illinois.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Dorothy; and five sisters.

He is survived by his son, Mike Decker (Brenda) of Morrilton; daughter, Teresa Hoggard (Kevin) of Smithville; grandchildren, Jaden Hoggard and Taylor Decker.

Graveside services for Mr. Decker will be Monday, September 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Hope Cemetery near Imboden with Danny Whitmire officiating. Services will be under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
