Hoxie- James "Jim" Edward Kirksey, 72, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center.  He was born November 18, 1946 in Thayer Missouri to Boyd and Mary Collins Kirksey.  He married Lyn Miles on August 26, 1972 in Germantown, Tennessee.  He owned and operated Prichard-Kirksey Furniture in Walnut Ridge for many years.  He was a 1964 graduate of Hoxie High School, graduated from ASU with his Bachelor's degree in Accounting, and served on the Hoxie City Council for many years. Jim loved Genealogy and coaching little league baseball. He was of the Baptist belief.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Lyn of the home; son, Chris Kirksey (Amanda) of Walnut Ridge; daughter, Leah French; sisters, Sharon Robert and Patsy Taylor (Dale) both of Jonesboro; grandson, Trent Kirksey (Maria); nephew, Lynn Robert(Angela) of Eureka Springs.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 6 until 8 p.m.at First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.
