James Leslie Hatfield, 77, of Batesville, formerly of Hoxie passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 at White River Medical Center in Batesville.  He was born June 17, 1943 in Walnut Ridge to Gus Lee and Mable Hatfield. James was of the Pentecostal belief.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Bill Hatfield and Bobby Hatfield; and a sister, Patsy Blackshear.

He is survived by his sisters, Peggy Hinshaw of Ravenden, Kay Thorsby (Bill) of Louisville Kentucky, Jeri Davidson of Walnut Ridge, and Sharon Barnhill (Gary) of Hoxie; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 12 until 1 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with David Moore officiating.  Interment will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Cody Davidson, Greg Blackshear, Robert Hatfield, Jonathan Barnhill, Brent Hufstedler, and Bobby "B.J." Hatfield.
