Jamie Norris Ross, 96, of Walnut Ridge, formerly of Lynn, died June 18, 2014, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge. She was born January 4, 1918 in Driftwood to Frank and Virgie Norris Seagraves. She was a member of the Baptist Church and an assembly line worker for the Chrysler Corp for many years. In the early 1940's, she went to Detroit, Michigan to work in the Chrysler factory producing Jeeps and trucks for the WWII military, becoming one of the early "Rosie the Riveters" and where she later met and married Charles Ross. Before and at retirement, they explored much of the country before they moved to Florida where fishing was on every day's agenda.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; step-father, George Hudson; sister, Bonita Lingo (Ike); step-brothers, Sherril, Earl, and Ewalt Hudson; step-sisters, Dallas, Bernice, and Olivia; and step-daughter, Nancy Ross.

Survivors include her nieces, Levita Lingo of Jonesboro and Jamae Bailey of Walnut Ridge; step-sons, Jim Ross of Harrison, Ohio and Chuck Ross of Florida; step-granddaughter, April Bolton-Gulisano of Harrison, Ohio; step-nephew, Jim Richey of Lynn; step-nieces, Mary Sue Alls (Cecil) of St, Louis, Missouri and Earline Ashlock of Cave City.

Visitation will be Monday, June 23rd at 10:30am at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Lynn. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at the church under the direction of Cox-Fears Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with Terrell Neeley officiating. Burial will follow in Dry Creek Cemetery in Lynn.
