Anita Jean Osburn, 70, lifelong resident of Lawrence County, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at NEA Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born in Walnut Ridge to Terrell and Addie Medlock Freeman on October 14, 1946. She married Darrell Osburn in Portia on April 8, 1966. Jean graduated from Black Rock High School in 1964.  She was employed at First National Bank of Lawrence County for over fifty years, where she served as secretary, head of bookkeeping, auditor, and branch manager. Jean was a member of First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women Club, Ralph Joseph Leadership, and Compassionate Friends.

The loves of her life were her husband of fifty- one years, as well as her children, grandchildren, and especially her great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Ed and Lorene Osburn; sister, Jane Nelson; and great grandson, Trevor Carter.

Survivors include her husband, Darrell, of the home; sons, Jeff Osburn of Paragould and Jason Osburn (Paula) of Walnut Ridge; brother, James Freeman (Teresa) of Attica; sisters, Joan Cook (Gary) of Pocahontas, Janice Lawson (Joe) of Imboden, Joyce Hanan (Jakie) of Black Rock, Robin Dollar (Bobby) and Rhonda Reed (Scott), both of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Mollie Carter (Trey) and Haley Osburn, both of Jonesboro; Zack Osburn of Walnut Ridge, Kyle, Dylan, and Andrew Osburn, all of Paragould; great grandson, Asher Carter; great granddaughter (expecting) Little Lilah, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 6-8 pm at First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge. Funeral will be Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 2 pm at First Baptist Church with Jake Geunrich and Glenn Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Phillip Tolson, Rowdy Ditto, Chris Burns, James Freeman, John Paul Freeman, and Kyle Osburn.
